From electronics and engineering through to product design, marketing and finance. Let us briefly introduce some of them to you. Cliff joined the Fire Beam Company after spending 15 years within the logistics industry in customer facing roles with major national accounts throughout the UK.Upon leaving this sector Cliff has set up and run a successful company within the building industry and also established a sales and distribution enterprise throughout the south of Spain within the drinks market.

Just 18 months prior to the launch of The Fire Beam at Firex 2005, the company was the brainchild of company founders Andrew Gilmour and Karl Caddick. As with all the best plans, the two best of friends came up with the idea over a pint! So a clean piece of paper was removed from the drawer and the ultimate beam detector was born.
Important: The XTRA has become the industry favourite and we want you to know that it still has our full support. Even with the launch of the new app-controlled BLUE model, we recognise that there will still be some applications where you want to use a wired low level controller. The XTRA still allows you to do that and that won't change.
As standard The Fire Beam Xtra covers distances up to 70 metres, but with the addition of one of our Distance Kits it can also cover distances up to 160 metres. Designed to cover distances between 70 and 140 metres, the Fire Beam 70KIT140 is a clear acrylic plate with 3 extra reflectors attached. Simply add the Single Reflector that is provided with the standard Fire Beam into the spare space on the plate using the screws provided. For your convenience, the plate is pre-drilled to suit the universally popular Unistrut system.
The Unistrut Adaptor Plate is a clear acrylic plate that allows easy mounting of the Fire Beam Head Unit to Unistrut fabrication. The holes are pre-drilled to the correct pitch of the Head Unit and are conveniently positioned for use with the popular Unistrut system using the screws provided. The Anti-Fog Kit consists of a retro-fit lens that you attach to the front of the beam face and a single reflector.
