This company is a complete disgrace. This company is a complete disgrace back up service is a complete waste of time Fitters have been out 7 times now telling me to remove vision slates that cost an extra 600 to have to stop the door from rubbing on the inside box they are saying doors are to wide for them they say go up to 5.2m they are 4.3 Had excuses after excuses They are a complete waste of space If not resolved shortly they can remove them and have a full refund Service is the worst I have ever had

After my SWS garage door developed a fault where it would retract and open slightly after fully closing I contacted SWS as the manual was very basic and only mentioned the safe edge being interrupted would cause this ( eventually I found out this isn't the case and the motor torque monitoring will do the exact same thing if it's unhappy ) SWS straight away didn't want to offer any technical support and wanted to palm me off onto one of there "distributors" I insisted that I was capable and competent to fix my garage door, but needed more information and they put me through to a technical advisor.
Straight away I could tell the advisor wasn't going to be forth coming with much information and after describing my fault he didn't once mention that it could be caused by the motor torque monitoring triggering and nor did he offer to send over a technical manual. After some googling around I found out the motor controller was from a company called Ellard, I contacted them and they were very helpful.
They sent over a technical manual straight away and thanks to this I got my issue fixed ( turned out to be a weak motor capacitor which was triggering the motor torque monitoring function! )

My old Securoglide garage door stopped working after 20 years of daily use. I had no hesitation in replacing it with the current model installed by Colegate Garage Doors Ltd who are one of SWS approved installers. The new door was installed within 4 weeks of placing my order. It is very well made and is so quiet & smooth in its operation. The installer was excellent. We look forward to another 20 years of trouble free operation.

I bought an SWS garage door via an internet provider. I ordered a 2400 wide door. I arraged for it to be fitted on Saturday 28th November. It was 20mm too short. I only found that after, removing the existing door, fitting the frame and axle, and offering up the curtain door to the frame. After over a week of emails and phone calls, (and no garage door) trying to rectify the problem, I managed to speak on the phone to someone at SWS.
It would appear that the axle is extendable. This fact is not anywhere on the instructions. The person I spoke to admitted the instructions were wrong and always have been, and this problem has been encountered before. He went on to say that perhaps the instructions need amending. I would wholeheartedly aggree with that. The door was fitted Wednesday 10th December.
It has cost me twice for installation, because the instructions are totally inadequate. Not happy. As a customer relations exercise, and a product endorsement vehicle 0 out of 10

Extremely Poor Aftersales We moved into a house which had had an SWS securoglide door fitted about 6 years previously in an extension. We have no details for who fitted it. The remote key fobs were tempremental as the previous owner had washed them. I then find out that PDT who used to make the electrics for SWS no longer do, so it is impossible to get a replacement fob.
This means you must replace the entire electrics control system. Sounds bad right? But then along with that you have to replace the entire bottom slat of the door and the rubber seal and sensors. This adds up to well over 550 with fitting, all for a key fab which is not working. SWS have a "not our problem" attitude. Can you imagine a similar situation with a high quality car that is 5-10 years old?
The Garage Door Centre in Wellingborough were given as our local dealer but I have been messed around by them and they "forgot" to order the parts and then changed their prices after we had waited weeks for them to get the parts in. Back to SWS and they try to get a different dealer to call me, which never happened. I am now awaiting a response to a formal letter posted to the directors before deciding what action to take next.
For the same price, I could replace the entire door and electrics, maybe the actual product would be inferior, but maybe I would deal with a company who actually cared about their customers. BEWARE IF YOU INTEND TO USE SWS FOR YOUR GARAGE DOOR.

We have a Seceuroglide roller garage door which was manufactured by this company. The door had a 5 year warranty on the motor, but after 6 years the motor broke down. The garage door fitting company quoted 450 to fit a new motor and was very unhelpful in this matter. I contacted SWS and asked if they could help to reduce the price of the new motor as it was only just out of warranty. I did not receive a constructive response from them. Be careful if fitting one of these doors, the motor may only last 5 years!
