The BH258 unit will automatically equalise a video signal at the push of a button and deliver a high quality video signal over Cat5e/6 cable of up to 1 mile (1.6km). Only a passive balun is required at the camera and this is supplied free of charge along with the 12V DC power supply. The BH188 unit is a video line corrector and active receiver converting a balanced (UTP) video signal to unbalanced (coax) video signal and will compensate for signal losses in UTP cable enabling high quality pictures to be received as much as 1000 metres from the camera when used with a BH185.
Our Active solution gives amplification so there is no insertion loss and acts as a mid-range Line Corrector, correcting for signal losses to obtain better quality images on the monitor. The BH186 unit is designed to cancel hum up to a maximum of 35V Pk-Pk and to correct for any signal loss in an unbalanced (coax) cable run, eliminating hum bars and enabling high quality pictures to be transmitted over long distances. With the BH132 inserted into the cable run the incoming coaxial cable is isolated from the outgoing coaxial cable.
The BH251 is a mounting panel for up to three of our L-Series units. For example, the BH184 or BH187 can be fixed to the panel enabling the units to be used in a standard equipment cabinet and it has the added advantage that up to three units may be powered from just one power supply. The panel can be supplied empty or pre-loaded with any combination of L-Series units and comes complete with 230V plug-top 12V DC power supply (110V available on request).
Our equipment is most commonly used with the following types of coax video cables: RG59, CT125, CT100 and RG11 Other types of coax may be acceptable - please contact our technical support line. As a general rule the higher the specification of the cable the lower the signal losses will be and the further you will be able to send a good quality picture.
