Action Alarms (Midlands) Limited, based in Nottinghamshire, are a local family run security solutions company. We have been established since 1987 and been accredited NSI (NACOSS) for over two decades. The National Security Inspectorate (NSI) is recognised as the leading certification body for the security protection industries in the UK. Our core business is based in the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire areas but we do spread a little further to Chesterfield and Leicestershire. The reason is that if we keep business 'local' we can offer the personal service and be competitive, no customer is too far for 'personal' service.

CCTV systems have been with us for a number of years now and have provided countless businesses and establishments with an effective and efficient means of protection. CCTV, whether internal or external, enables all types of businesses, buildings and establishments to respond considerably faster to the threat of theft, vandalism, criminal damage, physical attack and all types of crime. Video evidence assists companies and Police to identify criminals and other offenders, promoting their early apprehension.
Lets consider the worst case scenario. If a Burglar Alarm fails then you have suffered a break-in, if a CCTV System fails then you have lost a recording of some description, and if a Door Entry/Access Control System goes down then you are either locked in or locked out. All of these are very annoying and inconvenient - but if a Fire System fails then potentially someone might die! This is the perspective of how important these systems are and how vital correct fitting, operation and maintenance is.
Door entry systems have masses of potential applications and are very useful to secure commercial premises whilst you are open. Residential applications also apply providing identification for people in flats, etc. Systems allow the users to quickly identify and admit welcome visitors and reject unwanted callers without a confrontation.
Action Alarms designs, develops and implements structured cabling and traditional networking systems for customers ranging from domestic properties to small businesses. Modern networking equipment is designed around the concept that each device in the network has a dedicated media connection to a central "hub".

The current action alarm system was installed 18 years ago, which proved to be an excellent intruder system. I recently had a new 4 camera CCTV system installed. Its a very innovative system with a great deal to it, movement sensors, night vision, ability to cut and copy. My wife and I have the App, which allows me to view the cameras from wherever I am.
The nstallation was professionally carried out. I have now asked for a new type of maon panel for the intruder system, with all the new innovations. Well done intruder alarms.

I have been using Action Alarm services for 7+ years (it could be longer) and during this time they have been spot on in every way. Initially I had an old alarm system that developed a fault, Action Alarms sent out an engineer to take a look. It was back up and running in no time, it needed a full service to replace worn batteries etc and later we had a new bell unit fitted.
Later we upgraded to a full hone security package, whole new alarm system and cctv. Installation was efficient, clean and professional with all staff members being very helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. We have continued to have our system serviced by them and on the rare occasion something has gone wrong they have always endeavoured to resolve the issue quickly.
One of the things that I really like is the fact that our current system is upgradable and as technology has changed they have been able to perform upgrades to it. Which is great because the latest version has some really great features that provide real benefits. Such as being able to monitor our home on our phones. Every member of staff here as far as I am concerned are brilliant, never once have I had even the slightest cause to complain.
We are very happy with their service levels and the systems provided by them, that is why we have NO hesitation in recommending them to our friends and family. An excellent local company. Thank you for your time, assistance and continued support.

Eastwood branch; Poor attitude, rang for help and advice, (yesterday and again today) received neither! Just a receptionist with a poor attitude who made no apology for not returning calls (well we're busy)and who then told me it was my fault that there was a problem with my alarm as I hadn't had it serviced in 2 years! I only wanted an appointment with an engineer to try and fix my alarm, which I would have paid for. It's called a Business. You provide a service, customer pays for it. Is that not what you do?

Alarm was repeatedly going off during the night and nothing we could do would stop it. I have just had major surgery on my stomach and have 3 small children. I called the out of hours emergency contact Andy Shepherd and he said if we dont pay him 100 he wont come and sort the alarm as we could be burglars and we have woke him up so to call the police.
I called the police as didnt have the 100 Andy was demanding and they said they could not help but would send a patrol car round to make sure everything OK. We have had to disconnect some parts from the internal box as well as the external box in order to stop the alarm! Poor service, poor attitude!
