I contacted ESS to enquire about a security alarm for my home earlier this year just before the lockdown. From the very first contact with the girls in the office to Paul coming out to see me, right the way through to the team installing, I couldn't have chosen a nicer company to deal with. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Being a more senior customer, they took their time to explain everything to me and they were quite tidy when working in my home.

The installers wore face masks and gloves and even asked about covering their feet, it was very welcome for them to put my safety first. I will have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone, it is such a refreshing change to find a local friendly company that didn't cost the earth. Thank you.

ESS Security manage our home alarm system on a maintenance contract. It was playing up, going off when we were out. Called them and they came out to see us a few days later, the engineer was great, he fixed the issue within 30 mins. Great support. Thanks guys.

Pretty much the same review as Natalie below. Had a system installed 2 years ago and since it was installed there has been no end of problems. Fobs for the alarm stopping working then the sensor stopping working but as usual "it's chargeable" even though we pay the maintenance contract. Used this company due to a professional connection recommending them but I won't be passing on the recommendation and have told the person who recommended them to stop! Had an invoice through recently for the maintenance contract to pay but they don't maintain it as I'm currently without a sensor as when it stopped working they came out after it being 18 months old said it's chargeable and as we didn't want to pay because of the maintenance contract all they offered was to take the battery out!

They are obviously using the cheapest systems and sensors so people need to keep ringing them and paying them constantly. My parents have had a system installed for over 8 years and have never needed the sensors replacing or the fobs they use and it cost the same as this alarm.

I am a pensioner and wanted a new security system fitting, I called Ess security, the lady in the office was very helpful and knowledgeable and arranged for the surveyor to come to our property. Paul gray attended on the day and time arranged where he demonstrated the system that he was planning to install, he was very helpful and explained how the system operated.

After getting another quote from a different provider we decided to go with Ess security, due to the customer service that we had received to date. The engineers were very neat and tidy, they are a credit to the company. We are over the moon with our new alarm

We had Alarm & Cameras fitted last week and cant say enough good things about this company from the price the system but mostly the professionalism of the operatives who fitted the system. They arrived when they said they would did a great job and was clean & tidy leaving the job spotless. Excellent Service ESS!

Had a problem with my alarm that Ess did not fit, I called them on the off chance to see if they could fix it, the lady who I spoke to ran through the costs and options available to me, she arranged for an engineer to attend that day, fantastic service

Not recommended on basis of professionalism, value and customer service. Took annual service contract and declined annual renewal. I was then informed I had signed up to 3 years (the form signed did NOT state this) and was told T and Cs included in documentation would have stated this. T and Cs were NEVER included in the documentation signed and I would never have signed up for a 3 year contract. I will be reporting them to the security ombudsman.

Had 3 companies out to quote me on a new alarm and CCTV at home. Was very impressed with ESS and decided to go with them. They were brilliant. I live on my own and feel so much more safe now I have the CCTV cameras and alarm that I can use with the phone app. Thanks so much guys :-

Had our alarm system for less than 2 years, have also paid the yearly maintenance cover since having the system and the alarm system itself has a 3 year warranty. However, ESS tried to charge us hundreds of pounds to fix a fault, the outside alarm box bell had stopped working. When we pointed out that we were aware the alarm system itself was under warranty they had to check details and days later agreed they would send it back to the manufacturer.

At the same time they were happy to leave us weeks with out a fully working system and did not return emails or calls concerning this for days on end. When contact was finally made they said they could put in a temporary measure but again this would carry an additional cost on top on the initial out lay of the system, additional call out charges and 2 lots of yearly service cover we have paid so far since having the system. We feel completely ripped off and deceived.

Fantastic Service, from the initial promptness of the sales manager, who explained all options and provided a fast competitive quotation meeting our very tight deadline. The install engineers were also very professional, knowledgeable, polite and accommodating, i will certainly use ESS again and highly recommend them.

Very professional team, quality work. we have had an alarm system fitted by them, its easy to use and the team that came to fit the alarm system were really professional. we are looking forward to having our cctv system updated by them.

I have used ESS on a number of occasions at home, another a property I own and at my cricket club. The service is always outstanding. Paul has always taken the time to talk through security concerns and layout options. The after sales service has been excellent with the team on hand to answer questions and ensure a engineer visits quickly if required. Highly recommend ESS for home or business.

If you want false promises and over charged and be let down multiple times this is the business for you! Tied into a 3 year contract for annual service all 3 times engineers was late and never showed up for the first two times, absolute shambles, telephone advisors can be rude. Was recommended by a family friend who knew the pervious owner however has now since sold the business a few years back. Would not recommend ESS find somebody local who actually turns up.

ESS supply and install all of the intruder alarms and home security systems into the new homes we build. We find ESS to be very reliable, efficient and professional.
