Monks Security Systems was founded in 1986 by Peter Monks and is one of the leading privately owned Fire and Security installation and maintenance companies operating out of Leeds. Since that date the company has grown from strength to strength obtaining NSI recognition in 1990 (formerly NSCIA and NACOSS) for Intruder alarms and BAFE SP203 for fire alarm installations.
Detailed below are a selection of individual and multi discipline projects that we have selected to show the skills of our Design, Management and Installation teams. At Monks Security Systems we have undertaken new works ranging from circa 300-500k+, no project is too small and we are yet to find any projects that are too big!
As an NSI Gold member Monks Security Systems ensures all our engineers are stringently security cleared. Each engineer completes DBS checks enabling Monks Security Systems to work with a wide range of clients in the education sector or any other site where requested. Our Engineers also adhere and operate to the following British Standards: - BS 5839-1:2017 - for Fire Alarm Systems - BS 5266-1:2016 - for Emergency Lighting Systems - BS EN 50131/ BS8243 PD6662 2010 - for Intruder Alarm Systems - BS EN50133 for - Access Control Systems - BS 7958:2015 for - CCTV Systems ## Inspection Cover Monks Security Systems as Standard offer Inspection cover on all of the disciplines below: - Fire Alarm Systems which can also include fire extinguishers and emergency lighting systems - Lockdown Alarms - Disabled Refuge Systems and toilets - Intruder Alarms - CCTV Systems both On-site recording and Off-site detector/analytic operated systems - Access Control - Automated Gates and Barriers Inspection cover for Fire Alarm Systems will ensure that 100 % of all automatic fire devices will be serviced in a 12 month period over 1,2 or 4 visits in accordance with BS 5839-1:2017.

I can't say enough good things about Monk's Security and always recommend Monks. After my home was broken into, I had several companies come to give estimates on putting a security system in. Bill Monk was the "only" person who listened to my concerns and what I felt I best needed to feel secure. The other companies only wanted to put minimum security measures for a higher price.
The techs did an excellent job installing. The monitoring company is right on top of things. Today I called the office early for a replacement battery and it was dropped off at my job before I got to work. Great service. Thanks Bill. L. Curtis

I have had four security companies at different homes over the years and Monks is the best I have worked with. They installed a security system in a new home we built. I might have given them four and a half stars rather than five for a couple of minor things one of their installers did, but overall I have found them to be knowledgeable, professional and focused on customer satisfaction.
I am very pleased with the Honeywell system they installed. Bill Monk was always willing to answer questions and went out of his way to make sure we were happy with the final result. I am also impressed with the company they have monitoring the alarm system. Responses are quick and they are very efficient and professional. I highly recommend Monks Security.

Would Not Recommend Had surveillance cameras installed by Monks Security, one of witch had to be installed outside the garage crawlspace. There were mice in the crawlspace which we were told when the installers were here. They never put the wire in pvc pipe or protected it with any other material and the mice ate through the wire shortly after it was installed.
After many phone calls to Bill Monk, which we thought would replace the camera, and were not told he would be charging us, we were sent a bill for the new camera. Would not recommend this company for any work and make sure if you should hire them, you get it in writing if the wire gets chewed they replace it. Very sloppy work which we had to do some caulking ourselves, and cover the wire with some protection.
