Our huge range of fireworks, both indoor and out, are in stock all year round so there is no need to wait until bonfire night to put that extra sparkle into your celebration. Stocking only the highest quality fireworks, by market leaders Black Cat and Standard, our range has something to suit every requirement and budget.
Debbie and Robert Bevan created the concept of Protec in 1983, when Robert, a self-employed electrician, had the idea that security systems were the way forward. Robert sought advice from the local crime prevention officer to see what was required to become a security installer. At this time locks were the most important aspect of security, which then led on to intruder alarm systems and as we move forward into the future CCTV.

Good, helpful and pleasant staff who can find the random things you're looking for with ease in this small department store, cookshop, electrical suppliers and all sorts of other things, shop. A bit of a Wells gem, this! Excellent range of products from the sort of store that has gone in so many areas of the country. Very impressed! We found a series of random cookware items we were looking for without difficulty and went back for something else, later. Brilliant shop! Thanks to all at Protec.and the cat!

Very attentive staff and a huge range of products from kitchen wear (great selection of knives), gifts to DIY stuff. Got a key cut whilst I bought an individual lightbulb and covid precautions were great. Boris the local celebrity cat spends a lot of his days here and has his very own bed on the counter which is a lovely addition. Always my first stop when I need something for the house.
