Really poor service & quality. 1 year since initial install of PIR system, alarm, gate intercom/access system & cameras. If we've had 6 weeks where everything actually worked all at the same time, I'd be surprised. Engineers turn up unannounced, sometimes without parts. PIR modules replaced several times, gate acess module replaced/repaired several times - and here we sit today, still with an incomplete system. Shocking quality and by no means the cheapet option available. Elusive management that leave Finance & Service to deal with frustrated customers. Just an absloute mess of a company. Avoid at all costs!

Contracted with them a year ago to install a new PIR security system, external cameras/hard drive & intercom/gate access system. By Feb 2021, the PIR sensors had failed in select spots around the house several times, the camera & hard drive worked, maybe 50% of the time, and a new intercom module had to be installed. Engineers sometimes rocked up unannounced, sometimes we had to wait days.
Not exactly what you'd expect from an alarm company. But it gets better. Fast forward to October 2021 - 1 year after install and several thousand pounds spent on the original install.the alarm system still does not work properly, the gate intercom access module is on its 3rd or 4th issue (it usually quits after it rains & the engineer 'reseals' or replaces it) the remote camera system was hard wired (with wires trailing all over outside walls & windows - thanks for that, Keyways - that's how to finish a job professionally!) and we've had several PIR modules replaced.
Either they use cheap equipment, poor tech staff or both. I asked for a discount on the last bill due to 1 yr of poor service and counting and they deducted an amount for annual maintenance they haven't even booked in to carry out yet! Rather cheeky & not a discount at all. Miserable service, poor quality kit. Simply the worst money I've ever spent on an alarm. No idea how they've lasted 50 yrs with quality issues like this. Avoid Keyways at all costs, unless you've 5K+ you've no use for.

Poor response - organise for technicians to attend and advised what work is needed and they turn up un-briefed without the parts - complaints procedure is a joke as after being told to raise an official complaint after 12 weeks nobody responds - after being a customer for 30 years they sadly are no longer the company they were and offer very poor customer service

Whilst the installation went well last week, it has been almost impossible to get any response from the company since. I specifically required an addition to the new system and have so far had 2 appointments made and on both occasions no-one turned up and no-one had the decency to advise that that this would happen. I cannot now get a response from Keyways and rather regret having involved them in the first place. Caveat Emptor!

Critical: Responsiveness Had a lot of problems contacting anyone to complete the installation of my alarm. Still not completed all the work. They don't respond to calls. Very disappointing and really not what I expected, especially not from a security company. If I had realised this in advance, I would have gone elsewhere as they are more expensive than most.

It took 4 calls to get the annual maintenance booked in, several promised return calls failed to be made, and a total lack of communication. I asked for costs, never got them, then was hit with an enormous bill for a simple maintenance visit. I feel the visit could have taken less time, but when we saw the bill, who knew they charge by the half hour!
No wonder the engineer was so relaxed. Called to discuss but no one available and another promised return call never made. I will not be returning to Keyways, or recommending them to anyone.
