In response to Frontier's reply: I feel your response is quite unprofessional. "It seems he contemplating attempting electrical DIY". You do not know anything about me or my competencies and the quoted comment is pretty condescending. As for the reason the alarm was ringing out, I had to do some work on the upstairs lighting circuit. As I turned off the breaker I learned the system was connected to this circuit because it started ringing (most likely due to the battery having died in the unit).
At this point I placed my call (to the number on the box) and heard nothing back, I was hoping to receive instructions how to disable the alarm or prevent it ringing. Unfortunately, as the work needed to be done I had no choice but to let it ring. Finally, I know it is common practice to fit aftermarket alarms onto lighting circuits. However, I have to question this choice as there is a ring main spur literally running underneath the control box!
Original Review: Moved into a house with a system fitted by Frontier. The installation looks fine. However, My review is in relation to there service. I had an issue with the system and left a message and spoke to someone who never called me back, this resulted in me having to let the alarm ring out, annoying all my neighbours in the process. I recently discovered on my phone bill I was charged a premium rate for the phone call as well.
