Thought I would go local as I wanted a quote for a system to be installed at my home. When contacting them the receptionist promised me that an engineer would contact me that day to discuss job, waited three days for a call. Being desperate to have the job done I rang them again spoke to the same receptionist who obviously had not taken any of my details for them to call me back!. I decided to gave them a miss due to customer service.it's a shame because I wanted to use a local firm.

Overall I feel the service from Scan Alarms has been poor When fitting the alarm a misunderstanding between the electrician and the Scan alarms salesman meant the wrong cable was fitted. Each blamed the other party and I as the customer was the one was affected. Although a solution was found I don't feel I was treated well as the customer. Then when the engineer was fitting the sensors the the New back door the handle was damaged. Noting was said and I only noticed that night when I got home.
When I said to the sales man he said he would speak to the engineer who denied it was him and they refused to accept any responsibility. I advised that it was the only plausible explanation for the damage. Salesman said he would speak to his boss but that it would do no good. He never came back to me and I had to pay for the handle to be replaced. 1year later I received an Invoice for my first years maintenance fee which I was told would be waived when I signed initial contract.
I spoke to a customer service agent who agreed to get the original salesman to contact me. I spoke to him once about 4 months ago and he said he would get back to me but never has. Following posting this review I was contacted by the salesman who apologised as he thought the issue in relation to the maintenance fee was resolved at the time. I now accept this has been resolved.

Scan Alarms fitted an intercom and door access system to our office in Moneyreagh (Somerville Ltd). From initial survey and quote, through to carrying out the work, the service and value for money were excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending Scan Alarms to anyone looking for a similar system.

Chris came and we walked around the building and agreed what was needed, he sent in a price and a long spec for the work. To my detriment i did not go through this spec in detail as i assumed he had included everything as discussed. I agreed to go ahead and when they came to install i was shocked to find a large part of the work was not getting done.
Not i am looking at an additional bill for this work as you cant easily change supplier now but the biggest let down was Chris's handling of this issue as he made no effort to make good the situation in anyway and completely dismissed my claims. Such a let down and such poor service.
