I called Hero locksmith after locking myself out the house and my dog inside! Richard was at my door in 20 minutes. He did what he said he would and for the price he quoted. No damage to my door or lock. You wouldn't know he'd been. He also cut me 2 sets of keys at a very reasonable price. Totally recommend Hero locksmith. Great job. Thanks for saving the day!

I called Richard to come and fit a sturdier lock as there had been some burglaries in the area. I initially planned to replace front and back door locks but Richard advised me that my back door lock was more than sufficient and didn't need replaced - I'm sure others may not have been as honest and simply replaced the lock and charged me for it. He did replace the front door lock very efficiently and at a competitive price. Will definitely use again and have already recommended Hero Locksmith to neighbours.

Called Hero Locksmith after a key broke in my door lock. He arrived less than an hour later, fixed the problem very quickly, and was very reasonably priced. (He was also upfront about any costs when I called, so no hidden charges!). Great service, friendly, professional, and I would highly recommend.

I locked myself out of my flat yesterday and googled for locksmiths in the area. Richard Hero Locksmith came up and I gave him a call after another one said they couldn't come. He came in less than half an hour and opened the door in seconds! Without having to break it open! Very friendly and loves dogs! Will definitely use again if this happens but hope i won't have to!

We recently had our lock replaced by Richard. Apart from being a very nice guy and not shy of answering all our security questions, he did a great job at a very reasonable price. Richard was great! I got locked out of my flat and so I phoned around a good few locksmiths. Richard had the best price and he was also the friendliest on the phone too. He also arrived right on time to what he stated and he was able to get me into my flat in no time. Honestly could not ask for a better service! Definitely recommend for all those unfortunate to get themselves locked out.

Great service from a local business, would certainly recommend. My front (UPVC) door lock had broken in that the key simply spun around (but the door was closed and locked). This was not the easiest job to solve, the old lock had to be drilled out. Everything done, and new lock installed in just over an hour of arriving. Richard also realigned the door, so that it would lock easier in the future. Cost seemed quite reasonable given the parts fitted and time taken. Richard himself was very friendly, and showed / explained everything to me.

My front door handle locking mechanism was becoming increasingly stiff to open and close and I couldn't work out what the problem was. Looking on Edinburgh Council's website I came across 'Trusted Trader' (Edinburgh.gov.uk/trustedtrader). This is a great initiative that seeks to increase our confidence around selecting tradesmen. All those listed are vetoed and undergo extensive checks. It was here I discovered Hero Locksmith. Clicking on their website I was pleasantly surprised: Up to date, with regular blogs about new standards, educational aspects and new initiatives.

I called Hero Locksmith and spoke to Richard. I liked his friendliness and openness. Although Hero Locksmiths deals with emergencies night or day, they offer regular appointments. The next day I had a visit. Richard not only checked my balcony lock but also advised on my main front door being out of scope for home insurance (the lock is very old).

He also noticed that our main external door (this is a house converted into 3 flats) had screws loose, was rattling and would at some point come off. He was right. Aside from his obvious skill as a certified locksmith, he is friendly, engaging and an all round nice person you feel comfortable welcoming into your home. Having moved back to Edinburgh after many years overseas, I wanted to build up a network of tradesmen. Hero Locksmith is top of the list.

Took Hero Locksmiths 10 seconds to open my door, something a budget locksmith wanted to charge me £35 for before fixing my lock.
Richard was honest and charged a very reasonable price for the job! Look no further!

Friendly, prompt service. Richard came within 20 min of my call and managed to get me into my neighbour's flat (I was feeding the cat - not breaking in!) He had to drill out the old deadlock and replace this - which was slightly pricey (I guess the whole point of a deadlock is that it can't be picked), but then he didn't charge me for the call-out or for opening the other lock - which was very kind of him. Highly recommended!

We called Richard when our front door was stuck locked!! It wasn't an emergency as we had a back door non the less Richard arranged to come out at 6.30 that night as arranged popped the door open and changed the gear box and barrel. Richard came to the rescue, on a Sunday, to sort a broken key in a stair door. He fixed it quickly and it didn't cost the earth. He even managed to cut a new key from the broken one. Great service, highly recommend!
