Burgh Locksmiths is a small, independently run company which aims to provide the best possible locksmithing service at an affordable price, for the whole of Edinburgh and surrounding areas. Our retail outlet offers key cutting for locks at your property, as well as offering a key cutting service for all makes of vehicles.
From our retail premises in central Edinburgh we are pleased to offer a full range of locksmith and autolocksmith services, we are conveniently placed to offer a local locksmith service to Bruntsfield, Morningside, Marchmont, Polworth and Tollcross areas but also cover the wider area. We understand your concerns and we are taking additional precautions to protect ourselves and our customers.
Burgh Locksmiths offer a full locksmithing service for the replacement and/or repair of communal doors. We take your security seriously and as such we hold both Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) and Disclosure Scotland checks, we also carry photographic identification that proves this, that means you can have complete trust in your Burgh Locksmiths representative.
If you have lost your house keys or they have snapped in the lock or even if the lock itself has failed we can help! Contact us to speak direct with the Edinburgh Locksmith. We try to use non destructive methods where possible but ultimately aim to get the problem fixed as quickly and cost effectively as we can.

The remote locking key fob on our VW T5 went ping. "It happens all the time." Alister came to us, cut new keys and sprinkled magic dust so that all the vehicle electrickery spoke to all the key electrickery. Alister was cheery, friendly, competent and super helpful. Thank you. Never showed up for appointment made on 22/12/21 at "lunchtime". My review prompted by Google on 28/12 on presumption service had been provided by then but alas it hadn't. I didn't "choose" the timing of review as suggested by owner and don't "think" I had an appointment, the appointment was real and not kept. Wasted 3 hours at property waiting.

Great! Replacement (duplicate) Volkswagen Key and Remote Fob arranged the next day. Much better than the official VW Dealership in Edinburgh who quoted an extortionate price and said it would take 2 hours, and then 14 days for the key to arrive. Alistair did it in about 15-20 mins at a very competitive price. Key works perfectly. Services: New key fob creation, Car key copying, Car digital & remote key reprogramming

Our son had lost his 2 car keys so a bit of a dilemma. Contacted Alistair at Burgh locks. Extremely helpful and the vehicle was up and running the following day with 2 new keys and remote locking working. This is a first class service and they definitely "do what it says on the tin". Would recommend this company very highly. Only wanted payment on completion.

Saved the day, what a service, i called as soon as the shop opened and and the appointment was for the following day 1500. That’s a fast response, however even better when I received a call from Alistair the same day and offered his services in the afternoon. 15 mins after arriving the job was completed. Alistair gained access to our car and produced 2 new cut keys and also cancelled out the lost one. Surpassed my expectations. Highly recommend
