This is a two-part review. ** Part 1. was the install of 4 cameras, about 5 years ago, which definitely warrants 5-stars. They were efficient and it was good value for money. I would absolutely recommend them for an cctv install. ** Part 2. I had an issue this week where all 4 of the cameras showed "no video" at exactly the same time. I rang Eurosec for advice and was told that an engineer would have to come out for 90 + Vat (=108) + Parts.
As the callout was so expensive I googled it and the overwhelming comments on line were that it was likely to be a power issue. I got a replacement power supply (5) and all four cameras are now working again. I thought this was a very expensive callout charge and a complete waste of money. I am local, I called during working hours and it didn't require immediate attention.
Distance and emergency rates would therefore not have been a factor in the callout charge. They could/should have suggested this over the phone as an option before saying that I had to have an extremely expensive callout without actually giving me any suggestions for what it turns out was an obvious problem. Not happy with the after-care customer service here!
I am trying to be generous and they almost certainly would have solved the issue had I gone ahead with the call out (although for over 100 more than a simple fix they could have told me over the phone!) so an average of 3-stars for part 2, based on the fact that they would have solved the problem had I got them out, but they should have given me the option of trying this before the call out.
They did at least tell me the call-out costs up front. Average 4-stars, as overall they are very pleasant and would have got the job done. Definitely very good for an install (I know others who have also used them and been happy with their installations). If you do have an issue though, I would strongly suggest googling it before booking a very expensive callout!
