First time I've ever written a review about a business but I felt I had to after the unbelievably poor service I've received from this Timpson Branch. If I could offer a negative star rating I will. I took my watch here for a battery replacement. I opted for the 28 lifetime warranty. However after receiving my watch back, I noticed that one of the small dials had come off due to the excessive force applied when re-fitting the back.
I returned my watch back to ask them to fix the problem they created. The staff attempted to do so, without success. (Michael) He then told me he'd have to send it off to head office to fix. He assured that it should take no longer than 2 weeks. Two weeks elapsed and no word from Timpson. I visited the store once again and met by a staff called Scotty.
One if not the rudest "customer service staff" I've encountered in my life. Not once did he apologise for the delay nor information he had regarding my watch. He told me it was in head office and should be back next week. I waited a week and rang up customer service. Greeted by a member of staff called Francesca where the lies continued. I rang her 4 times and each time she told me she'd ring me back after ringing the store to get an update.
Never did she once ring back. I eventually got a call back from a staff called Joanna. So, she's informed me the watch hasn't even been sent to the head office in Wolves and there's "sometimes a problem with delivery". Another lie cause no way would it take almost 4 weeks to send a parcel from London to Wolves! I would strongly encourage customers to NOT take your watch to this branch of Timpson.
All this has left a disgusting taste in my mouth and once I get my watch back from them, will NEVER EVER use any of their services again. Please Please Stay away from the BARKING TIMPSON. Also, best of luck to getting anything done via their customer service. More chance of winning the lottery than getting your issue resolved.

I am surprised at some of what I feel are unjustified negative reviews of Timpson repair shop and I am therefore writing this personal, positive review to redress the balance. I have been a customer of Timpson's, Ripple Road, Barking, for more years than I care to say. During these years I have had the pleasure to make the acquaintance of Michael, who is now The Branch Manager, and have always found both he and his fellow colleagues to be friendly, professional and personable. Kindly remember, that the prices reflect the excellent quality of their work and equally the quality of the materials used.
