Service contract (originally Crown) for 12yrs now, yet last maintenance visit now 4 months overdue, no one turned up twice in a row for appointments, now no response from company. Already paid next years service contract. Disappointing to revert to review but having paid 2 yrs for nothing, very disappointed.

I cannot recommend Spy Alarms enough! I have recently gone with this security company to maintain my intruder alarm system. They have recently come out as my alarm was faulty and the engineer arrived very quickly and was very professional and friendly. I am also considering purchasing some more security from them as they supply a wide range of security at an affordable price! Would highly recommend.

Best Security Company in London by far. They have always booked appointments that work around my busy life. They are very reassuring over the phone and always happy to help with any questions that we have. I spoke to a lovely lady who helped me with my insurance queries, this confused me as I do not know much about alarms she offered to speak to them on my behalf and done the everything for me. Would recommend.

Spoke to Sue Leonard at the Surrey office. She was so lovely to speak to. Promised me a call back and called me back within the timescale promised. The part that was needed was held up so she has arranged for me to have a before 9 appointment so I don't need to book a whole day off. Perfect customer service which is quite rare these days. Highly recommend this company

Recently moved house and cancelled our ongoing maintenance contract with Spy. They told us we had not provided 3 months written notice before the annual renewal of the contract and would have to pay the full outstanding balance of the contract. They had a couple of attempts to correctly calculate the outstanding sum, initially expecting us to pay again for the months we had already paid!
As we were selling the house we couldn't give the required notice, in fact until contract exchange we could do nothing. Frankly their demands for payment of over 130 seemed like sharp practice and exploiting the situation. In the end several emails and a complaint led to them agreeing to accept payment for 3 months, still 40. Left a bitter taste. They also had the nerve to ask me to give them the name of the new house owner so they could get in touch and sign them up for a contract!

We have been clients of this company for many years. To allow for some building work, our existing, quite elderly alarm system had to be down-powered and it made sense to upgrade when the time came to reinstall it. After having the survey and quote for the alarm system, but before the installation, we made a further decision to have cameras fitted as well.
The surveyor was very professional and provided good advice on both occasions. He was well backed up by the efficiency of the service administration staff who dealt swiftly with any queries we had. Both installations were carried out on the same day by pleasant engineers who worked cleanly and carefully. Everyone we dealt with, both in person or by telephone, was helpful, friendly and efficient and we would have no hesitation in recommending this company.

We had an alarm contract with a local company for a number of years and paid for an annual service contract. Whenever we had issues an engineer would promptly attend and take care of the problem with the costs (except parts) covered under the annual contract. The local company was subsequently acquired by SPY. I called with an issue that our alarm showed a fault and kept going off.
I was informed that SPY charge for a call out, even if you have an annual service contract. I really don't see the point in paying for an annual contrat when you are charged for any call outs. However, my bigger issue is with the customer handling. The person that I spoke to quite clearly didn't care about retaining me as a customer, doubted my word that I had ever had free call outs and was generally off hand in manner. Needless to say, I will not be renewing the contract and do not recommend this company.

I asked spy to install a entry system. The salesman was great and whole process before installation went smoothly. On the day of installation, the engineer didn't have the correct parts for the job and was clearly a trainee - poor guy was sent on the job not knowing what he was doing. They are still to rectify the problems and complete installation- it's been 3 months!

One Star is too much for this company. They were incredibly unhelpful whenever we have had problems with the alarm. It kept going off for no reason in the middle of the night for no reason. They also never sent a servicing team over the entire time we were with this system and yet still insisted on charging us for this service we never received, to the point where they tried to take us to small claims court to pay them for this nonexistent service. If you have the time to switch companies I would recomend it. It was the best thing we did.
