Protec has been a big name in the fire and security industry for over 50 years. From its formation in 1968, it has expanded and developed with the times, making it the solid and established brand it is today. Scroll down to see some of the defining moments in Protec's history. The business was then known as 'Protec Fire Alarms' and operated as an installer of fire alarm systems. Through forming an association with Mr J B Merrin, a partnership developed, which then became 'R M Protec Fire Detection {Nelson} Limited'.

On Sat 21st Aug 2021 at around 5pm on the A102 southbound near the Blackwall Tunnel, one of their representatives tried to cut me up. I didn't let him through so he forced his way in dangerously while ranting and raving at me very aggressively. I obviously ignored him not wanting to escalate the situation but he continued to swear and gesticulate at me.
I noticed he had Protec branding on his car so I thought I should warn people that this is the kind of people that are employed by this company. On that basis alone I'd avoid them like the plague.
